If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Waiting for Christmas

I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas. Except it's worse, I don't know when Christmas will be. I just can't wait to hold and snuggle and kiss this baby. I can't wait to feel his little toes. I can't wait for him to wrap his tiny fingers around my pinky. Today is my due date and I can't possibly think that this baby is comfortable doing his acrobatics in there. He still moves A LOT! ALL THE TIME! I keep telling him that there's more room on the outside.

I know your pain, with the exception of twins at 38 weeks I saw my due date come and go. It really is a terrible thing! If you are OK with induction, I would demand a date. Having a final date always made it better for me. I hate not knowing and the whole due date thing is a downer when you are still pregnant when the day ends. When your little guy is here you will soon forget the uncomfortable last days of pregnancy!

I get the same anxious itch when my little ones are due to arrive. Those last days are torture and the constant anticipation wears a 9-month-pregnant lady out! Good luck with your labor. It's the most incredible experience and you and Jared (as a fantastic coach I'm sure) will do so great.

haha! I love this analogy. I can only imagine what you are feeling. I am sure I will feel the same way at the end of July. I hope your "Christmas" day comes soon! How exciting!

I was overdue six days with my first (you can't induce with the first early which I hate. Never fear, I got my next two out two weeks early!) Every minute over your due date seems like an eternity! I promise it will come, and your life will be COMPLETELY changed forever! Enjoy one last long shower before someone is screaming at you. Enjoy one last afternoon reading a book by yourself. In a few hours, days, it's baby time! Good luck!

man, past your due date! now you've got me in total anticipation! Is there some kind of baby dance we can do, you know, like a rain dance to get him to come. in the old days they used to call the infant out like this, "infant, come forth!" maybe that will work.

you probably don't want to hear this but i was a week past with one of mine--just try to distract yourself, it'll happen.

Oh yes. I love the anticipation of a newborn. SO excited and anxious and after the due date a little impatient. Those sonograms don't do justice for the real thing. have fun with the whole birth experience. Hope all goes well. My hubby just saw jared from a distance and asked if it was lance armstrong :)

Hang in there! It's got to be soon! Make something yummy for your Doc next time you see him/her and maybe they can help. wink.wink!
