If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Personality Test

I found a personality testing website. It's really cool. Well I took this one test to see what movie I am. Well, here it is. AWESOME! I love this movie and even better, now I do know that my life is an adventure with many to come:)

Visiting Grandparents

Last weekend Jared and I took a special trip to Utah to visit our Grandparents. First we stayed with my Aunt Susan and took a photo in front of the infamous bird painting.

Then we had a lovely lunch with my Grandparents. It was wonderful to catch up.

On Sunday we visited Jared's darling grandparents. His father is 98 yrs old and still full of wit and charm. It was super fun.

Friends and Cousins

Jared and I had dinner with my friend James who I knew from painting class. He's a crack-up.

We had fun staying with my cousins the Handleys. Here they are trying to get Sam ready for the photo.

A super fun family:)

The night before we left it snowed. Aunt Susan's in the background shoveling snow. I should have ran after this photo.

Flashback to BYU

It was a gorgeous day so Jared and I decided to walk around BYU. We went into the Wilk and walked by the ride board in the basement. I love the miscellaneous part because people sell wedding dresses and rings.

The ride board. This was a great way to get a ride to anywhere in the U.S.

Jared and I enjoying a beautiful day on BYU campus.

Smashing Styrofoam

I got tons of styrofoam from Jared's roommate who ordered something so I took it into work and had the students build structures with them. Well, naturally the boys asked to smash them. And naturally I let them.

A beautiful day for sand

Monday we both had the day off so Jared and I decided to head to Santa Cruz since it was such a sunny day. Here I am trying to recreate an older picture of when I drove up to Seattle with him almost 4 years ago.

Sorry Jared for always cutting off your head in photos.

We watched the surfers for a while.
The tranquil silhouette of the beach trees.

Camping

Friday night Jared and I went camping along with Rob, Amy and Bryan. We went to Monte Bello and packed in about 2 miles while the deer stared at us with their headlight eyes. It was a gorgeous morning with bright blue skies and green hills. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and the bay as we hiked out the next morning. Little did I know that this was going to be a big day.

I have a few Statements

I DON'T LIKE HEARTS!!!!!! I think it's a cheesy symbol. HOWEVER my heart was softened toward the symbol a bit when I received a heart yesterday from Superman

This heart is cool. I turned yesterday into "Happy Aorta Day" instead of V-Day.

This is my favorite. I LOVE STARS! Starfish, stars in the sky ALL STARS.

Another object/symbol that I love are SCISSORS! I just love scissors. I collect them. Someday my humungous collection of scissors will be put into an art project. I've been brainstorming for 5 years.

It all started with a sculpture that I made in a sculpture class in college. It was a copper sculpture. Something else I'm pretty wild about.

GRAPH PAPER! I love Graph paper. All types of graph paper.

Aorta Day

A day that should be spent appreciated and being with loved ones:)

Fabulous cheekbones Emily!

Striking eyebrows Amanda;)

Music provided by John

Sunday night Rob's (our dutch babies chef) brother came over. He is an amazing guitar player.

Here he is playing his own version of Babylon. It's a bit shaky because I'm standing on my balance board.

Here he is playing the Nottingham song from the cartoon Robin Hood. The lights are out because I had my special Nalgene lantern going. Part way through he breaks out into his own stuff.

Birthday Surprise!

Last Thursday I turned 28. This was a birthday that I was definitely not looking forward to. Ever since I turned 18 I didn't want to get any older. I don't have to grow up though. The day started out with me being super grumpy. When Jared arrived to take me out to dinner I was all smiles. We had a nice dinner at Cafe Brioche in Palo Alto.

Then we went back to his house so he could give me my present. Well little did I know, and to my great SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!! all of my good friends including some from work and my mom and brother were at his house wishing me a Happy Birthday. I was very much surprised. I had always wanted a surprise party and no one could have pulled it off better than Jared had. Props to Emily for being so sly as to plan a decoy party for me on Sunday.

Jared enlisted the help of my fabulous friend Amanda which was a wise decision. No one could have planned a better My Little Pony party. It was well executed and decorated.

Me and my roommates. (And Rob's leg)
The day wouldn't have been complete without Rob's Dutch babies.

I was full of smiles the entire evening and all the next day:)

Here are some videos of me getting surprised.

My birthday theme was My Little Pony. And of course Jared didn't forget to put stars out because I LOVE stars.
This is a cookie cake. Jared's family always gets them for their birthday but I've never even heard of one (to his astonishment) so he tracked one down for my birthday. It was yummy.

Hooray Cathy from work was there. That was super fun!

Fun in the city

On Saturday Jared and I along with Adrian and Kristine headed up to S. F. for some fun and fish. We went to the MuseƩ Mechanique. It had lots of super old games and photo booths.
Jared played Mrs. Packman. He was super good. It was my first time playing. He could have gone on all night. I think he finally just let Mrs. Packman die so we could play some other games.

This guy was funny. What's even more funny...

is the warning sign above the game.

I'm not going to tell you what we were.
Adrian and Kristine raced these biker guys.

I love how Jared throws his sweater over his shoulder when he walks around.
