Fisher Price Little People

Last week I heard that the Fisher Price Little People had their 50th anniversary. I don't like the new little people. Not as cute. I love the old actual "little" little people who are bald and have their hair painted on. They're also perfect for a little person to stick on their finger. They were discontinued because of a choking hazard. Well guess what, we all survived playing with them and there are plenty of choking hazards. Of course I'll save these for when our baby gets older.

Anyhow, I decided to browse craigslist for some vintage little people. Well I scored. This woman who lived about 15 mins away was selling all of these for $50. I did some research on the internet and found that some people were selling just one set for just that. They were going for up to $60 and $70 bucks just for the airport on ebay. It was a steal so I jumped on it.

Happy Holi

If Jared and I didn't have a birthing class on saturday. we would have went to Happy Holi. They put an event on a Stanford campus every year. You get very colorful and dance. We'll take the baby next year!

I went with my friend Sara a couple of years ago. Part of my hair was pink for several weeks after.

*Can you tell I'm getting scanner happy and scanning in lots of old photos? I've just been feeling nostalgic lately.

60 more days...

A couple of weeks ago Jared wanted to make a chain of how many days we have left until the baby comes:) 60 more! Hopefully fewer.

Friends in town from Texas!

My friends were in town for their siblings wedding in Fremont. I knew them at BYU. There was a little clan of us and they all married each other.

Jen and Steve (currently reside in Virginia working mysteriously for the government, met freshmen year, did missions and then married) Jared and I, then Kristen and Michael, (live in Texas, we all lived in the same apt. complex Michael and Steve are brothers and lived together then) ...Michael and Kristen have 3 darling kids, with one on the way a couple of weeks before mine. She is a super duper fun mom and is always doing fun activities with her children.

I hadn't seen them in so many years it was like old times, except with kids in the room playing legos and bigger bellies:) (Except for Jen's.)

Kristen is having her 2nd girl. She already has 2 boys.

GoKarting with Kaching

Last Monday Jared went GoKarting with his coworkers from Kaching. I went along and took shots. Unfortunately I don't have the best flash on my camera and the place is dark.

Jared was #19 for the first round.

You can barely tell but Jared won the first round. He had some competition the second time around and came in 2nd.

I think this would be super duper fun! I went Zorbing in New Zealand once and this is similar. We're totally getting one for our kids.

Still Standing

Jared brought home these beautiful gerber's last Friday. They were a little bit fallen over but that was to be expected by these daisies. Then the next day when we woke up they had perked up. Since then, almost a week later, they are still standing on their own. HOORAY! Spring is here:)

Library Card Catalog

I really want an old library card catalog to organize and label my art supplies. I search everyday on craigslist for the perfect deal. I think it's going to take a couple of years to find the perfect one that isn't too expensive.
