Yesterday I hit up Urban Outfitter's 50% off sale and grabbed some items to jazz up the apartment. Here is our new bedspread, well the first layer.
Here's the top layer. The bottom one is just a little surprise.
Here's the pillows for our green couch.
You can flip them over for some more fun designs.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

New friends are the best
I made a new friend Colleen through my cousin Emily. She's awesome. Her husband's name is also Jared:)

Concert in the Park
Every Tuesday evening in Palo Alto there's a free concert in the a different park every week. I packed up a picnic and met Jared there after work. The band this week was a Doors cover band.
Kim Swenson joined us which is always a treat!
A random Buscycle drove by.
With a bunch of happy people.

Our Honeymoon in Kauai
We snorkeled, hiked, helicoptered, cruised, read, slept, swam, watched sunrises and Jared surfed!

More gifts
I didn't get home until about eleven last night and look what I found at my doorstep. Yup, 7 boxes. Jared and I had just cleaned up all of the styro-foam peanut and boxes from other gifts the day before. I'm having lots of fun. People are so generous. It's like my birthday everyday when I come home:)

Casey's show
Casey had his first solo art show opening on Thursday at swarm gallery. It was AWESOME! I loved it. The title: There is No End to Matter.
I also got to see my brother Sam which is always a delight:)

I love my students
So, for the last couple weeks of school my darling students in my studio art class were while working on their final project were also doing something on the side. Every time I asked them what they were doing I would get replies like, "nothing", or "you'll see." This led to loads of laughter on my part because I love this class and their sneakiness. Anyhow, on the last day of class I presented them with brownies and they presented me with a sculpture of piano keys and some other randomness.

Tracking Mama's flight
My mother is flying in from Israel today. I tracked her flight last night and she was somewhere over the Atlantic. If you click on the photo to get a closer look you will notice that the actual route is not following the flight plan. Those rebel Delta pilots.
