If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Map of our life...literally

Jared made a map of where we live now, and where we're going to live as of November 1st. Also, the 2 Google offices. Our new place is still within walking distance from downtown Zürich. We'll have a view of the Lake and the city. We are very excited.

Saturday Adventures!

On Saturday we had a few ours in the morning for a mini hike. We hopped on a train and took it to Uetliberg. Here's a happy shot of Jared.

I don't know why I'm laughing. Probably because Jared said something funny. He's always making me laugh.

Uetliberg is the "Top of Zürich."

It was a bit of a hazy morning. This is a view of Zürich and the lake.

We climbed up several stairs of a tower and here's the restaurant below.

The trees were such a bright green.
Later we went to go view some apartments. Between apartment viewing appointments Jared and I wondered around the city because it was such a beautiful fall day.

Swiss pride!

This one's for my brother Sam:)

I just can't get enough of Aqua and Yellow!
All the houses are just so beautiful and full of lots of character. This is located in one of the side alleys off the main Zürich area.
This is located near our new apartment. It is placed in a garden of someone's house that we can't get into:(

Walking around Zürich

Zürich is so beautiful and I am enjoying walking around and exploring all of the different areas.

These are two opposite shots of the lake. The first is actually the river looking north towards downtown.

Here is a shot of the lake standing on the bridge that crosses over the river that feeds in Lake Zürich.

I love these little side streets and alley ways off the main street downtown. They have lots of cute shops.

The colors right now are so beautiful.

I want a house some day with a little nook in then corner like this with windows where I can paint.

I like this roof.

Music on my blog

I've entered a poll on the right sidebar. Should I keep the music on my blog? It's starting to drive me nuts, every time I post and check out my blog and see if it looks right, all of this music. Please vote and be honest:)

New friends and beautiful paintings

Today I went to Kunsthaus to see the latest exhibit. They were showing Félix Vallotton. It was an amazing exhibit. His portraits of himself and of the woman were amazing. The way he captured a true woman's form. He also had paintings that told stories with subtle lighting and objects placesd discretely throughout the painting.

I also met three Spooglers (spouses of Googlers.) It was a lot of fun to chat and relate stories and hear about the countries they are from, Hungary, Germany. There was one woman who is Italian and grew up in Brazil and has lived in NYC for the past 10 yrs. We instantly connected because I LOVE NYC!

Here is one of my favorite paintings that was in the exhibit.

Sunday Excursion

On Sunday after sleeping in until 11am we got dressed and decided to walk around the city. Jared showed me of some places that he remembered when he was here in March. It was a beautiful sunny day:)
[P.S. There will be a million shots of Jared and I like this before we're 84 yrs old, the with us together and my arm outstretched. Maybe I'll do a montage one day when we're 50.]

This is the pedestrian bridge that Jared crosses on the way to work every day. I run up and down the stairs this morning to work off the chocolate that I ate last night...and just now. Good thing I have a lot of errands to do now which will involved lots of walking.

A church that we went inside.

A beautiful Agapantha blue building.

I love the different colored shudders.

Here's a Cadillac from New Mexico...in Zürich. It must be a pain to find parking.

An "Old Inn" that is indeed old.

Jared made some friends on our walk;)

Pastries.

That look like mini hamburgers.

I packed us some lunches and we sat along the East side of the lake to eat them. It was a beautiful view of the city.

Jared made another friend:)

And some more. He is very lovable.

Before we came to Switzerland I told Jared that I was determined to find a Merry-Go-Round. (They are my favorite.) Well the 3rd day we were here we stumbled upon one. Jared promised to bring me back:)

5,000 Miles for Dean

Dean, I put the 5,000 miles song on for you!
