If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Chug-a-lug

In class today we watched the chase scene from "Bullitt" with Steven McQueen. The boys brought in popcorn and gatorade. Of course since there was a huge bottle left they wanted to have a chug-a-lug contest. Tahim started, then Scott and then Josh finished it off. Then Josh had to leave to throw-up possibly.

Nice kicks

J's sweet running shoes.

Doggybear

Isn't my nephew Jonathan so cute clutching his "doggybear?" (He merges words, Doggy and Bear = Doggybear, Granny and Grandfather = Grannyfather.) I love his little pj's that he's wearing.

Joey and Amy

I watched Joey and Amy all weekend. Joey is 4 and Amy is just about 7. We had a lot of fun. They are my favorite kids that I'm not related to. Amy is really silly and very creative, an amazing artist and story writer. Joey is a little sweetheart who is obsessed with Thomas the tank engine and knows what to say at just the right time.

Zoo and children's museum

Saturday we went to the zoo and children's museum in Palo Alto and had a lot of fun.

Monkey Bars

Amy is showing her stuff on the monkey bars. I remember when I used to show off on the monkey bars when I was her age, I could skip two bars going backwards.

Running around

Joey has an amazing imagination and had fun running around the park and trying to get me to chase him.

Shoes

I had my students make their own shoes. They had a lot of fun with them. J made some really big ones and then walked around the school with them on to test them out.

Swing away

I went to the driving range last weekend and actually hit quite a few balls out there, thanks to my EXCELLENT instructor!

RAIN

It rained really hard yesterday. The thunder was so loud that it shook the buildings. It was fun.

Jared and I played boggle on Sunday. It's been a while since I played boggle. I was a little rusty.

Casserole

Yep I've been really into making casseroles lately. I had some friends over on Sunday to celebrate my 99 miles that I biked this week. I'm having dreams now about biking all the time. Doesn't this casserole look good? Well it was.

IN-N- OUT

I went to get a burger late sat. night. It was a very fun night full of energy and wild times.

Circles=Genius

I told my students that if they could draw a circle behind their back that is means that they'r ea genius. Then one of them started drawing a really tiny circle. Another one just flat-out cheated.

20 Lines

I gave my students a project where they had to create 20 lines made out of 20 different materials. This was to finish up our unit on lines.

Derek came over last night to help mee put together a shelve and had the idea to make some shoes out of the leftover cardboard. We went outside to put them to the test.
